Our Nourishing Fresh Wheatgrass is ready for your smoothies
Some Quick Facts:
- Our microgreens are harvested regularly, to ensure that our customers receive the freshest produce and the highest quality. Fully compostable/biodegradable packaging is used to stay environmentally conscious. Our produce remains mold-free for up to 14 days if Stored Correctly
- The weight information displayed on our packaging is the actual usable plant weight.
- If you prefer your microgreens in a live-growing plant tray, please consider the following: Caution! Some microgreen varieties tend to form mold in the root area, if not properly attended to. Make sure that your planting mat is well-ventilated at all times. Please note that the weight of the products offered in live growing trays includes the grow mats, water, roots and packaging. The usable plant weight is generally 40-50% below the declaration. All live grow tray suppliers have the same complications regarding mould control. See what Wikipedia has to say!
The #Microgreen Team works on food-safe premises and is fully government-approved. We care about the environment, hence why we only use compostable/biodegradable packaging.
The newly sprouted leaves of the common wheat plant (Triticum aestivum), have gained a lot of popularity in recent years. You can find it in juice bars and health food stores all across the world. Most people consume it as a juice, taking a 30 to 60ml shot on its own or adding a shot to their favourite smoothie or juice recipe. We are in the process of adding Wheatgrass in supplement form as well and we will keep our customers updated.

Let’s dive into their nutritional values:
Health food enthusiasts have talked about the health benefits of wheatgrass for years. Wheatgrass is low in calories but high in nutrients, including antioxidants such as glutathione, vitamin C, and vitamin E. Antioxidants fight free radicals in the body, reducing oxidative stress and protecting against health conditions like arthritis, cancer, and neurodegenerative diseases.
With its antioxidant properties, wheatgrass may help to prevent cancer. Some studies are showing that it can help to kill cancer cells. One study suggests that wheatgrass may help to reduce the negative side effects of conventional cancer treatments. The chlorophyll in wheatgrass has antibacterial properties. Applied to the skin, it may help to treat burns and lesions by preventing infections. Drinking wheatgrass juice also helps treat antibiotic-resistant infections.
Wheatgrass also helps lower cholesterol levels, which can then help to lower your risk of heart disease. Wheatgrass lowers LDL cholesterol and triglycerides similar to atorvastatin, a common cholesterol-lowering medication.
